Welcome to www.beatlescomics.com. This is my Beatles Comic Collection (~100) including some VERY RARE and SCARCE items. Some of these have taken many years to accumulate. Still missing some gems so if you can help me out let me know.

  1. Marvel Super Special Number 7 – withdrawn from US distribution -  and not even listed in Overstreet Comic Guide. Furthermore George Perez has said that this is the HOLY GRAIL of Perez artwork and that even he HAS NOT SEEN THIS COMIC HIMSELF – refer to the following link for audio proof.  Listen to this segment from 7 minutes and 45 seconds onwards to hear what he has to say." The rarest piece of George Perez printed artwork you can find" http://www.worldtalkradio.com/playlist.asp?SegmentID=10005 or if that link is broken try

There are various other message boards regarding the scarcity of this item and in below are two different issues of this rare item.  http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=12916

This is an email I received from Heritage Galleries:

Dear Luke,

Yes, this comic is very rare. I've never heard of Dutch or German versions, although I've read that French versions exist. There is no price information for it in the price guide. I estimate the value at around $200 to $500, or maybe as much as $1000. It's hard to say for sure. I think eBay would be the best venue for selling this type of comic. I hope you find this information helpful.

Best regards,

  1. The next gem is the Beatles Complete Life Stories RARE export version.

This is probably the second rarest and hardest to find of all Beatles comics. The special "made  for export" version was recently discovered - the only difference is the price conversion, listed as "2/6". It is one of only a few known copies that have turned up. This issue has a "1/6" sticker on it from New Zealand. Refer to   http://www.rarebeatles.com/photopg8/comlife.htm

This Beatles comic reference website has a vgood ++ of this comic valued at $600 US and this website is a few years old !

  1. A  9.2 CGC Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen ( 2nd Highest CGC ) with Elmhurst Collection Certificate.

If you look on the cgc census website you will see there is only one higher graded copy of this currently.

      refer to http://www.cgccomics.com/services/

   4.  Here's a SCARCE ( definition by Overstreet: “ 20 – 100 copies known to exist ) BEATLES related comic book for the true Beatles collector.  It is a copy of:MY LITTLE MARGIE comic #54 from 1964 with "BEATLE MANIA" story and Beatles in their famous "collarless" suits on the cover.  I don't think you'll see this comic very often.

 5.  Yellow submarine Gold Key comic with poster intact and in very fine +  / nm condition. Has been very carefully

      stored since purchase.

Here we have an unread/unrestored solid NM- 9.2 copy of Beatles Yellow Submarine comic with art by Paul S. Newman published by Gold Key in 1968!  This 68-page giant has been stored untouched for 38 years! It has all of its original cover gloss, vibrant fresh colors, supple off-white pages, and the pull-out poster is intact!!!

6. Batman 222 – Some very nice Neal Adams cover work. This one is based on the conspiracy theory about whether or not Paul McCartney died back in 1969.

7. Herbie 5 - Beatles, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin Appearance.

8. Strange Tales 130 –  a fine + comic ~ 7.5 -8.0.  BEATLES APPEARANCE! Published by Marvel Comics, Mar. 1965 by Stan Lee;
JACK KIRBY Cover! STEVE DITKO, Bob Powell, and Chic Stone art!

9. Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen 79 – Otto Binder copy

This is a book from Otto Binder's personal files. Otto Binder wrote nearly all the golden age Captain Marvel stories, and tons of silver age DC stories. In 1970, he experienced financial difficulties, and sold his personal file copies, with his autograph on the first page of each story that he wrote, and his personal tag scotch taped onto the cover of each book denoting which inside stories he wrote.  These Binder copies are extremely difficult to find and are great pieces of history from the personal files of one of the comic book world's most prolific writers. JIMMY OLSEN #88 from 1965. Flat and tight with incredible color and gloss! The cover has the smooth supple feel of a new book! Nice edges, very lightly dinged corners. VERY TINY nick lower right edge. Great spine with very minor stress wear and minute end wear. Some of the inside pages have a very tiny chip at the bottom corner that comes nowhere near the artwork. A real beauty! Off white/cream colored inside covers with VERY LIGHTLY tanned edges. Supple off white/cream colored pages.

10. Marvel Super Special 4 – George Perez  - vf+ nm-

Marvel Comics Super Special #4 The Beatles Story. 1st Printing, copyright 1978. This 11" by 8" book  contains art by Perez and Janson and is "the Ultimate Unauthorized Beatles Book". Everything is still here including the pullout. Also a 9.2 CGC with white pages.

 11. The Beatles experience #1-8 of 8, rock’n'roll comics in near mint condition - This set never read. These unauthorized comics depict the career of the Beatles from early beginnings until their demise.
